ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mattea Horne is passionate about increasing accessibility in the Earth Sciences. She is a first-year graduate student studying for her Master's of Science in Geology, specializing in geoscience education, at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Geology at Pomona College in Claremont, California and graduated in 2022.
